   Hi,
   My website is: http://www.twiceblessedlife.com

   Recently,
   I can't Save Draft/Publish for HOURS.
   I have to keep retrying and retrying and finally hours later it will Save Draft/Publish.

   I also get ghost comments. The comment count says 150 comments, but when I expand and look, it will say 145 comments. This also started around the same time as above - about a month now it's been going on.

   I've tried doing my stuff in Mozilla Firefox, I've tried it in IE, I've tried it in Google Chrome.

   I've tried turning off all the plugins.

   Still no joy.

   EVENTUALLY the stuff will save draft/publish, but I need to get my posts done in a timely manner - and sometimes I've got deadlines, so I need this fixed. And the ghost comments are still there no matter what.

   Appreciate any help with this, thanks!
   I'm not a coder, I use Headway's visual editor so I don't have to touch any code.

   Have you tried:

   - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

   - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

   - re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

   Thanks Esme, I'll try those suggestions.
   I'm worried about switching to the Twenty Ten theme - when I switch back to my original theme, will I have lost my changes and need to reset everything again?

   No. Your changes should be safe.
