Can't restore backed up .sql file with no encryption

    WP had to be reinstalled and I need to restore the backed up .sql file which is backed up to my email each day.. file size is very small.

    The restore fails with a message that an encryption key needs to be specified. Encryption was supposed to be optional and was not needed. How can I restore my content?

    Hi Calliope,

    Looks you are trying to decrypt the backup file, not restore it.

    To restore the MySQL backup you need to use your web host control panel and phpMyAdmin and then import the backup.
