Hi. I can't reset the password for my user on wordpress.org ... The email with the reset confirmation link comes and I click on it, but the email with the password doesn't show up. My username here is techlemming
PS: I checked the spam folder ... it's not there.

It was on my blog. I finally just uninstalled and reinstalled WordPress on my domain, so I could set a new password and start again. But the system for recovering passwords in WordPress.org is f'ed up. When you click the "lost your password?" link when trying to log into your site, instructions say you will get an email with a link to a page to create a new password, but when you follow that link, you find a page that tells you that a new password will be mailed to you. But no password is ever mailed.
Clarification.
Recovering passwords on wordpress.org means you are trying to reset your password HERE. Recovering your password on a self-hosted WordPress install is different. If you say 'wordpress.org' everyone assumes you mean the password to login to THIS site that you are on today. Nit picky, but it will help US help YOU faster :D
If you can't change your password on a self-hosted WP install, and the emails aren't getting to you, normally this means there's a problem with SENDING emails from your site or your emails are being caught as spam.
If you have FTP or SQL access, you can reset in other ways: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

but I didnt receive any email.
PS: I checked the spam folder ... it's not there.
The emailid too is right as it says emailid exists when i go for new account registeration
My username is angelin.nadar
I emailed that account's email address with a new password. See if that works.
Aaand the email bounced. Which is why you're not getting password resets, yo. :)

You can send mail to even this account having username angelin.deboral because I received mails of conversation had over here.
angelin.deboral - The email BOUNCED. I sent an email the the address associated with angelin.nadar and it bounced. I will not give anyone BUT that account the password. It's just not safe. And since the email bounced, I'm sure THAT is why you can't get a password reset. So no, I'm not emailing your other account, because I cannot verify this is you.

@Ipstenu Iam not able to reset my password in wordpress.org & have the same problem as lemming2. I think may be the eamil id problem is will i get the eamil id of my account. My username is angelin.nadar Iam the author of samrt manger plugin. the link is http://profiles.wordpress.org/users/angelin.nadar/ . So, I need this accout as its very much neceesary as I want to maintain the same account.
angelin, we went over this. You have to provide some proof that you are who you say you are (if I took everyone at their word, that would be reckless and insecure).
If you can email ME (ipstenu AT ipstenu DOT org) with the email you used for the "angelin.nadar" account, I'll happily reset it (please use the email you have associated with "angelin.deboral" for extra verification). The email account used on angelin.nadar bounced the last time I tried to email to it.
That said http://wordpress.org/support/profile/angelinnadar has NO POSTS. So it's not that big a deal, other than you just want the name :)
