Support » Theme: Simplify » Can't remove widgets from menu pages

  • First, thanks for your help. I was having trouble removing the archives and meta widgets from my menu pages (about, contact, etc.) I read helpful information by user Esmi and I put an empty text widget in my sidebar and the two widgets (archives, meta) that I could not delete were removed. However, there is an empty gray rectangle that appears in the right sidebar now. Does this mean that the two widgets from before are default ones? Is there anyway to get the empty text rectangle to disappear?

Thank you for your help. I am new to WordPress. This is my first attempt at a website… I am using the Simplify Theme by D5 Creation.

Ok i managed to do it.

    Go into appearance then Editor.

Then under templates on the right go to ( Sidebar )

Just delete all the data there and update. they will be removed and leave no Gray boxes.
