Can't remove the custom footer after deactivating plugin

Hi, I was trying out the Custom Headers and Footers plugin and I ran into a bit of a problem. After I activated it, I saved the footer code that was already included, just to test it out. After that I found that I couldn’t modify the code, or even remove the footer. I finally deactivated the plugin and even removed it from my site, but the footer is still there.

How can I remove it? What file did the plugin write to, maybe I can edit that file.
