Support » Plugin: WP Pipes » Can't remove content after article

  • Hi, so I have been trying all day with no luck. The rss I’m using contains a bunch of extra content after the actual post such as related articles, author info and a few more things. These are in simple div tags and I cannot figure out how to remove them with the getfulltext processor (or any other for that matter).

Documentation links in the plugin do not work and I can find nothing on how to use the html parser. There is also some strange divs with a “readability” attribute being added all over the place for some reason. the extra content breaks the layout too due to all the rogue divs. How can I use the pipe to only pull the actual post text and nothing else or selectively remove specific elements? Help please.

  • Dear grios,

Sorry about the Documentation breaking links. We will check and fix it next time we release.

In the mean time please directly access our wpBriz.com to read Pipes Documentaion. The part you want to read, Parser Code, is in here.

You can also provide your RSS Feed here or on our forums for WP Pipes at wpBirz.com, so that we can check it and provide a fix. And you will also see that there is a Pipe Setup Service that we offer over there, in case you really need to pull auto content from a difficult RSS Feed, but couldn’t afford to invest some precious time in fiddling with the Parser Code required.

    With best regards.
