Can't post images properly on WordPress 3.5.1 (8 posts)

    Hi there,

I'm super new to wordpress and web hosting/terminology/websites etc but can't seen to publish my images on posts properly when I drag and drop them into a post - I import them but they do not show up when I update the post - a few did yesterday but I no cannot upload any now - they update but do not show up in the post - they are all small jpegs (around 1-2mb) but it's driving me maaaad that they won't come up properly. A few did import correctly but the others just won't, and I have tried them on other things (like blogger) and they are not corrupted files at all.

My website is http://www.travelblap.com - I am running wordpress 3.5.1 (newest version) and it was uploaded via softaculous with my host, inmotion.

I am running the Shaken Grid theme but have not modified it at all, nor added any plugins or anything like that. If anyone could help me that would be amazing as I've got an absolute ton of stuff to upload and this first post has taken me 2 days of trying unsuccessfully to sort out. If anyone could help me I'd be eternally grateful.
    Many many thanks

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hey,

Thanks so much for your reply - I have switched off all the plugins, restored to the default theme and tried to reset the plugins via PhpMyadmin - the vield value was exactly the same as the number I was told to enter (although I re-entered and saved it) - everything is just the same and still I am having the same problem even after doing this

Can you point to a publically accessible page that contains one of these "missing" images?

Oddly, after trying again 4 times - the first image (which I've been trying to get up for 2 days now) has miraculously appeared - still I've tried to add several more and they won't upload properly at all - same as before

I have resized them on the page before updating (with the resizing arrows) and one or 2 of them around around 1.5mb - could this be an issue? are they too big to drag and drop? Seems weird that they would be?

The file size shouldn't be a problem - although you could try some smaller images and see if that helps. We need to be able to see an example of a "missing" image before we can really help any further.

    Hey

Well, the "missing image" simply appears on the page as if there's no image at all - just clean, flowing text. Here's an example of how it looks on the edit page after the image is dragged and dropped (I've had to take a screenshot and make it into a post to show you via a link)

The second shot is taken from the "view post" page - as you can see, it looks like there was never an image there in the 1st place.

We need to see the actual page - not a screenshot of it.
