Can't Post Comments On My Own Blog (6 posts)

Greetings. Suddenly I can't post reply comments on any of my
articles. Nothing happens; the message I try to post just sits there. I haven't made any recent changes. I read some of the other questions around here and I did try signing out then back in, and I also went back and deleted the head meta of my last 5 posts, just to see if maybe that did something. Beyond that, though, I have no idea what's going on. Thanks for any assistance you can give me.

I've had problems with comments in the past. I had a mysterious user with a blank name. I gave that user a name, others simply deleted them.

It would help to know some specifics so people can try to help you.
What is the site you're talking about? Was it working before? Have you installed any new plugins, switched themes, edited theme files, etc? Made any comment-spam related changes? (I totally goofed once trying to rename the comments files to trick spammers and never did really fix it...reinstalled.)

The site is my business blog, at http://www.ttmitchellconsulting.com/Mitchblog. It was working before, as I've posted comments on it. I haven't installed any new plug ins, not switched themes or anything. I haven't set up any spam blockers at all. Truthfully, I haven't done anything new that i can think of, other than writing new entries.

    Have you checked:
Blacklist comments from open and insecure proxies.
    under Options/Discussion.
It caused me the same problem.

It used to silently eat my comments. If this is the case, you can however find all your comments in your database, marked as spam!

    Hope that helps.

I did have that checked, so I've unchecked it and tried again, but it's still not allowing me to post a message. Maybe I have to give it a moment,... or wait until I get home and try it on my regular computer, since I'm presently on my laptop in a hotel. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

@Mitchman One other thing. If you have javascript disabled in your browser the same thing happens. You cannot post comments to your blog while you are logged in!
