Can’t post

I am having problems with my WP blog all of a sudden. I am not able to post. I type the post but the word count doesn’t appear, and or I seem to have done the post ok, but it doesn’t show. Please can someone help. I’m on strong meds for suspected epilepsy and I’m not altogether with it at the moment. Running 2.6.2. Thank you so much.
