• I just signed up for a wordpress blog today. When I click on the Site Admin link my computer says:
“Safari Can’t Open the Page – Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://musepatterns.wordpress.com/wp-admin/”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.”
    I am using an iBook G4 – safari (1.3.2 (v312.6))
Can anyone help me figure it out?
    Thanks in advance.

  • I suspect you have a safari issue. But, regardless, you found the wrong support forums. 🙂

We’re the .org guys. You want support over with the .COM fellas: http://wordpress.com/forums/

I’m in the laborious process of porting a Userland blog to WordPress. I’m hosting it on my Mac during the process, using MAMP. Everything was fine for the first two days, but now when I try to open the Site Admin. link, I get a message that “The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost: 8889. I checked the wp-config.php file, and the settings are the same as when I set them. Whazzup?

    >>> The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost: 8889.

thats a box/networking/NAT/etc problem, NOT a wordpress problem. And also has nothing to do with the original OP post.

You might want to take a look at what Google shows, check how youve set up your site etc..
