I've read the documentation for it - however, after search and repalce some weird stuff happens.

I get a 500 Server error every time I try to load a page outside of the homepage. Even after logging in to admin, I can't view any pages. If I go to posts for instance, and try to view the page for a post, it gives me that 500 Server Error.

In addition, I can preview new posts, but once I publish them I get a server error on them too.

Nevermind it works now... don't understand ~_~
What are you trying to accomplish? You can't just copy and move wp. It has to be installed to work. You are most likely getting the 500 error because the database can't be found.

Could be invalid .htaccess rules, file permissions, or other issues. What do your log files tell you? A quick call to your hosts support team might help to expedite a solution.
[edit] if it happens again... :-)

Not as far as I know. My first reaction was the same as yours. "You can't just copy and move wp." My assumption was that the issue was from probably doing exactly that. I have no idea why it would have resolved itself given the stated circumstances. Although, OP did mention this: "however, after search and repalce some weird stuff happens." So maybe my gut reaction of thinking it was a "copy/paste" sort of thing was incorrect. All's well that ends well, I guess.

Yea I copied database over, changed wp-config etc etc all that stuff. Not sure why it suddenly started working. Notably, it stopped giving 500 error, starting to give file not found errors instead. And then, it worked. Shrug, Cloudweb?
