Can’t login to the wp-login.php | WordPress.org

Hi,

I have installed wordpress in my sites. Iam not able to login to wp-login.php of my site.

Whenever I am trying to login with the password I am getting the following message

Sorry! the file/document you were looking for doesnt exist, it may have been moved, deleted or it is likely that you have typed in the wrong URL, Please check the URL and try again. If the problem persists, kindly contact the blog administrator reporting him/her about this error

Please let me know how I can solve this problem

I would first get a fresh download of WP from http://wordpress.org/download/, then re-upload the files following this guide: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Famous_5-Minute_Install.

If that still gives you an error, I’d contact your web host. Are you on Windows hosting? See if they can put you on a linux server because linux seems to work better with PHP-based scripts.

The file name is “wp-admin.php”, not login. Try that.

Well no, it’s /wp-admin/wp-login.php to login, and /wp-admin/index.php once you’re logged in.

wp-login.php should not be in your wp-admin directory.
