Can't login to admin after upgrade to 3.3 and installing BuddyPress (9 posts)

    Hello.

I upgraded my WordPress to 3.3 in order to install BuddyPress.

The installation seemed succesful, the website looks all right, and the BuddyPress 'toolbar' is showing up at the top of the page, but I can't get into the WordPress administration page. I just get redirected back to the homepage.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Try:
    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

    - re-running the upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php

Just used my ftp program to de-activate the BuddyPress Plugin by renaming it and I'm able to get into the WordPress admin panel again.

So, the problem is with the BuddyPress install.

I don't know what the problem is though.

It could be conflicting with another of your plugins or with your current theme. Have you checked your server's error logs for any clues?

    Hi esmi.

    Thanks for the response.
How do I check my server's error logs?

Uninstalled, and re-installed BuddyPress (lost the Installation Wizard on the reinstall), but still have the same problem.

    Also upgraded my Genesis theme.

Try posting on the BuddyPress support forum: http://buddypress.org.
