I haven't logged in for a couple weeks. Now my password is incorrect and when I try to have it emailed I get an error that my email address is invalid. It worked fine the last time I logged in and I made no changes. My website looks fine. Any ideas?

WPyogi, I looked at that page and tried what I understood. I was able to log into C-Panel and found that my old email was shown under admin in the data base. I changed it. It also showed a different password which I think might be related to a security plugin. Now when I try logging in I still get a password error, but it will now email me the password reset link. I tried both leaving the password as shown in the database, and changing it. Same result. When I reset the password from the link, I than get an error page from my site that says that page don't exist.

I am thinking this may be related to a plugin called "better-wp-security". I deleted the files for it from my server file manager but it had no effect. I think that's why my password looks different in the database, because of the security plugin I installed after being hacked twice. I am not sure how to disable the security plugin from the database.

    Hi, you can try:
deactivate all plugins, connect to the database, make sure the e-mail address is correct; in the database in the [prefix]_options table make sure that the values for "siteurl" and "home" are showing your site's address if not change it to the correct address (including "http://www.yoursite.com) then you should be able to reset your password using the reset procedure.
The password looks different in the database because it's coded using md5 this is the way passwords are saved in database so it should be ok.
    Hope this does it,
    Regards

I don't understand how to deactivate plugins without being able to login or from the database.

I fixed it by changing the password using PhpMyAdmin with the insructions here - http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password . As I suspected the plugin "better-wp-security" add error-ed causing the password problem. Thank you all so much!
