   I am not using the correct username or password. what's worse, i also get an error message wp cant recognize my email to send out new settings.
   how can i get either my old login info or get new settingd done and sent to me??
   ====================================
   I can access the wp PHP files thru my host servers and can view the PHP code. Is there any file that shows the actual, current username and password in text form? I can see it in PHP (for example, username is: “%2$s&#8221) but so what. anyplace i can see it or ... any place in PHP where I can change the username and the password myself and then go back into wp and login.

   Your username and password is stored in the database - not in a file. Perhaps these links will help:
