Can't login as Admin (3 posts)

Been accessing login fine over weeks but y'day I changed a couple of posts authors to another user name which I'd set up previously. Not sure exactly what I did, but think I changed default author to new name (not default admin). I can login as author but don't have admin rights so I have most of the dashboard options missing. How can I get back into Admin login?

I can access admin login through CP and try to login as admin. I get internal server error. I may not be using correct p/w so I ask for p/w to be resent. I get internal server again.

More info - using wp 3.2.2 and Minimatica Theme. Site hosted by FatCow. Tried going into 'users' in CP but can't figure out what and how to edit. Cheers.

I've searched other posts and can't find any which replicate this problem. Thanks.

Looks like you have to edit the database in order to reset the password...

    Take a look here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

Ps. I suggest you to do that with PhpMyAdmin.

    Good Luck!

Thanks Milmor. I tried to change p/w on php through ftp. Didn't ork. I then re-searched my mails for original p/w sent by wp. Found it, used it, worked. However, I still don't know what I've done exactly and how to undo it. I'm going to look at Users on the Dashboard. Cheers.
