Can’t login

    Just installed wordpress for the first time – everything went easy and fine – ita gave me a password and username – entered it and get a 403 (Forbidden) You are not authorized page

    Anybody – it was all very easy until it didn’t work – just when I was thinking oh that was easy.

    This is probably your host’s fault – they may not have ‘index.php’ as a valid extension.
    Try going to your domain/wp-admin/index.php and see what happens ? If that works, the host needs to fix it – it’s a quick fix for them to do.

    Yes that works – I see my page.

    What do I specifically have to ask them to do then? Can I do it myself – site uses h-sphere as admin with phpadmin thing to that i can login to.

    Furthermore – going to that index page does that bypass the login? What is the purpose of the login page if so?

    I see what you are saying now and I’ve asked if index.php can be a default page.
