I installed WordPress quite successfully, then received an email containing my login information, and when I tried to login as admin since that is what the email said , it continued saying that the login was incorrect. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem or is your "username" not what you would insert into the "login" place? All help appreciated.

Try clearing your cache / cookies ?
IE ?
Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files / Delete Cookies
