    Hello,
I think I did something stupid, trying to fix a problem, now I have a bigger one. I used this site http://biblearchive.com/blog/2008/stump/my-wordpress-wont-let-me-edit-articles/comment-page-1/#comment-33551 directions. Then when I tried to log in to my wordpress compasstrek,net/admin I get the message-

The webpage at http://compasstrek.net/wp-admin/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

So, I went back and deleted the file I just created from that websites direction and it still doesn't work. Pleas Help! I can't even login to my admin to reset permalinks or anything

Remove those lines from your .htaccess file.

There is no .htaccess file in my root directory which may be the problem. I may have deleted it when I deleted the file I created like the website said. But, If you read the websites directions all i did was create a file with that text in it and then change the name .htaccess. I did this because I could not find the .htacces file to begin with. So when my site made that error I deleted the whole .htaccess file I had created and the error still remained.

Check that your FTP client is configured to show all files. .htaccess files are often hidden by default.
