• I hope any of you gurus can help.

I’d just finished creating a local host to update my website. I was about to transfer everything over, but now I can’t log in to either my local host or live host. I’ve tried to change the password via myphp (MD5), but it with no joy. Every time I’m asked to log in, it takes my from the login pages from the local host to login page of my live page, and none of the passwords I have work, despite renewing them again and again. Worst thing is I can’t get in, which is really frustrating. Since I’ve seem to lock myself out, is there anyway to get back in? If not, any tips on rebuilding the site from the scratch?

Hope this makes some sense to anyone reading this!

    Hi Esmi

Thanks for the link. I’ve more or less tried everything I can, but not it’s coming up with error establishing a database connection. I’ve tried trouble shooting but all to no avail. Since I’ve already pulled out all the hair that I don’t have on my scalp, is there anyway to rebuild the site by just incorporating all the templates that I saved on my desktop from working via the local host? My site is http://www.pixpilgrim.com, and if you take a look, you’d know that I’ve screwed this up big time.

    Thanks for advice in advance.

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder.

    resetting the plugins folder.
