    Hi,

I"m very new to WordPress, I've been using it for about a week.

I made one change today, trying to get my home page to open to my webpage instead of my blog, now I get redirected to this page:

    http://theartofdonaldlsmith.com/wordpress/?page_id=18/wp-login.php&redirect_to=http://theartofdonaldlsmith.com/wordpress/wp-admin/

What file do I edit to change the redirect?

    Thanks!
    Don

What was the change that you made?

I had been on the Dashboard. Then I clicked on ( I think it was) the settings option. I can't remember what the page looked like, but there were two options that had HTTP://mywebpage/wordpress. The top one I think was pointing to what should be the HOME page. I wanted to point it to a different page than it was, so I opened that page, highlighted the link, went back to the setting's page, highlighted the link that was in the top setting, and replaced it. Everything looked right, then I saved it, and opened a new tab to check and see if it is correct. My Theme is gone, I don't get the LOGIN screen when I try to go to http://www.mypage.com/wordpress/wp-admin/login.php or admin.php. Instead it takes me to my webpage, but I can't edit it from there.

I figure I'll have to login to my file manager and edit one of the files, but I don't know which one. Will it be a PHP? I can edit those, if it's a CSS I don't have anything that I know of that will edit one. I could put it on a memory stick, and take it to a friends house, edit it, then copy the file back up to the webpage.

Sorry I can't provide more / better explanation of what I did. I do have a photographic memory, but my recall is defective... ;-)

Sounds like you'll need to change some settings in your database.

    Hi,

It seems that you have changed the site URL from the settings..so you will have to modify the wp_options table and reset the site URL as it was..

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
