Try checking your server’s error log for error messages.

Thanks so much for your reply.
    Apache server log errors:

[error] [client 127.0.0.1] client denied by server configuration: C:/httpd-2.2-x64, referer: http://localhost/soc/
    and
[error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: C:/wamp/www/favicon.ico

BTW. I have know problem pulling up my site at localhost just cannot login to admin. I tried resetting the password and the same thing happens.

This isn’t a WordPress issue. It’s a server one. You seem to have set your server up to deny you access!

This does not make sense to me. If the server is going to deny me access, then why does it only deny me access to logging into wp-admin. It does not deny the login page or the site pages.

I have no idea but client denied by server configuration seems fairly obvious to me.

    What was the problem?

I am not sure what the problem was but my guess would be was something became unstable with wampserver. I have several sites stored on there and I could not get into any of them. I should rephrase that. I could get into my main portion of site just could not login to wp-admin. There was some config error. Anyway a qick reinstall of wamp fixed the problem.

I used to have a hosted site and then I changed companies and am running on a self hosted site. I do not know my username or password and I don’t know what connection type I have. It wants me to update to 3.5 but I can’t

    How can I do this?

@maternalmanager – Please start a new thread – this one is already marked resolved so it’s not a good place to post.
