heyshadyladyAlright, so I've installed a mirror of my site in two locations.
For example: Original wordpress - http://www.blog.com
New wordpress: http://www.newblog.com
Mirror for editing: mirror.newblog.com
I'm moving from my old domain to a new domain. I've added the subdomain mirror so I can edit themes any time I want.
Herein lies the problem: I've followed the steps of this tutorial very carefully.
Allow me to recap - downloaded a backup of old blog including databases
then downloaded full copy of old blog including databases
went in and edited the domain (both of them) to that of my new blog
downloaded full copy of "new blog" including new databases
uploaded to newblog.com
before i had a redirect set up on newblog.com to direct to blog.com
so i removed the redirect and tried to log in to newblog.com, however, when i logged in, it didn't log me in to newblog.com, it logged me into blog.com.
i'm having the same problem on mirror.newblog.com - it also logs me in to blog.com.
i'm at my wits end and am about ready to just install a fresh version of wordpress at this point, i'm about to go insane.
i'm ALSO having problems (after upgrading to 2.7.1) that i can't stay logged in to the dashboard - if i click a link to return to the blog it automatically logs me out. i've cleared cookies/cache, but nothing works - i've even had my other admins try to log in with my credentials and with their own, and they aren't able to stay logged in either if they click out of the dashboard.
i'm REALLY frustrated over these problems, and would appreciate any help anyone could offer.
