No bumping here. It will actually slow things down for you. When someone can help, they are all volunteers, they will.

Sorry, just really desperate to get this fixed.

    Fixed by re-uploading wp-admin folder.

OK it’s doing it again now but coming up with an error:

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /../../…/advanced-cache.php.

I have tried completely removing the plugin then re-installing and it didn’t work.

    PLEASE HELP. Thanks.

OK, so I finally managed to remove W3TC, re-install it and the login was working fine for a while.

Now I can’t log in again, no W3TC error though.

Now I can’t log in again

Are you getting an error message?

    Thread Starter AD7863

    (@ad7863)

Although W3TC is not properly configured, I’m able to see the login page.

Sorry, it’s been 3 weeks and I’ve fixed it. But what’s wrong with W3TC’s configuration?

    Hello,
I tried to change the theme on my site, & now cannot log in using the user & pass that worked until 30 mins ago!

    Now get new page:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@wwwderekhoward.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What can I do now please?

    DereK

When this kind of thing happens the most important thing to do is jump into the web server error log to see what’s the matter and make the fixes from there. The 500 is generic.
