Very odd. Can you please delete and re-install the latest version of the plugin.

    Cheers,
    Mikey

Hi Mikey. I did uninstall and re-install the plugin a couple of times already and this didn’t change. Any other things to try?

    Cheers,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

On DropBox, go to settings and then click on the my apps tab. Do you see WPB2D there?

    Hi davidrab
I haven’t linked this to a Dropbox account yet so I don’t know which Dropbox account settings to look into. This is exactly my problem, that I can’t link to Dropbox because WPB2D appears “linked” already on the WPB2D settings screen but I didn’t do it. On my other sites, yes, there is a WPB2D app in Dropbox settings but this new WP site is not linked or related to the others in any way. Thanks.

I was wondering, is it possible that this is happening because WordPress is installed in a subfolder and therefore WPB2D can’t see some key file such as wp-config.php because it’s outside of such subfolder? Please see my other post for more details, the title is “If WordPress installed in a subfolder, backup misses files”

    Hello,
I am also having this problem. I have just downloaded WPB2D to a site and I am getting the same message “Division by zero in /nfs/c09/h02/mnt/136037/domains/risd-english.com/html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-backup-to-dropbox/Views/wp-backup-to-dropbox-options.php on line 159”.

There is no option to link. The button that usually says “Link” just says “Unlink” and I have done nothing to link my Dropbox account. I have used it on numerous sites and have not had problems. The other sites have essentially the same plugins and setup – nothing very complicated and no caching plugins.

I pay for Dropbox and so have many GBs of space left to store files. If there is anything you can do to help I would thankful.

I really like this plugin. It is a very convenient way to back up. I used to use rsync and a shell script for the database, written and installed by hand and so your plugin is much easier.

    thank you.

    Hi Daniel
The division by zero is becaus eit shows you have 0Gb out of 0Gb so it divides one over the other and that’s the error. Of course it’s zero because it’s not linked to Dropbox!

Question: is WP installed in a subfolder of yor domain as in my case? I mean, are the two folders in General settings different?

    Thanks,
    Alex

agulsman No. The site is not in a subfolder. The problem is that I have done nothing to link the site to Dropbox. And the “Unlink” button does not work. For some reason the plugin automatically linked to nothing.

    Gday Daniel,

I have no idea what is going on here. 🙁

Any chance I can take a look at your blog to diagnose the issue for you? If so can you please shoot me an email with the details.

    Cheers,
    Mikey

Mikey: My WP helper set up WPFD for my WP website http://www.tonyrobertsphotography.com. She pointed the settings to HER Dropbox account as a test. Now I’d like to redirect the backup to MY Dropbox account. Figured that deleting the program and starting over would get me to new settings but none showed at the reactivation. Would appreciate your help.
BTW, having a settings function active for the plugin would help but maybe I’m asking too much for such a great product that’s also free.

    @aglusman – WPB2D now supports WordPress in a subfolder.

I have noticed the unlink issue and will look into it.

I am resolving this thread because there is too much going on. If there are still pressing issues with the latest version can you please open a new thread and try and keep one issue in each.

    Cheers,
    Mikey
