CAN'T INSTALL PLUGINS! Unable to create directory uploads/

    Hi,

    I’ve been having some issues with my website. I am trying to import dummie content and I cant even install the WordPress importer because I keep getting this message:

    Unable to create directory uploads/2014/01.

    I already checked my php5.ini file. Do i need a php.ini file as well?
    I also changed permissions to 777. I didn’t have an uploads folder so i created it and manually added the 2014 directory and the 01 directory and changed permissions to 777 and still nothing! My site is hosted on GoDaddy.

    How can i fix this? 🙁

    I didn’t have an uploads folder so i created it and manually added the 2014 directory

    Remove that folder. It is essential that WP creates the folder itself. Have you asked your hosts about this problem?
