Can't install plugins or add themes after upgrade to 3.1

    Getting the following message when I try to add themes or plugins:

    To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.

    Previously, this was working fine.

    I’ve checked permissions and ownership on the wp-content folder and they look correct.

    Any suggestions?
