I have imported a 200 post Joomla site to WordPress. The posts imported, but most of the media (photos) did not. Most of the posts still have links to the old absolute location for the photos (http://mysite/images/recipes/clayovencook/xxx.jpg).
I can go through and manually fix all of this, but I have a much larger Joomla site that I want to convert to WordPress, and I would like to learn how to make this work.
Thanks for your help.

I have the same problem. I imported 87 articles into WP pages from a Joomla 1.0 site but the images didn't come over. Please advise. Thanks.
Both installations are on the same server.

Which versions of WordPress and Joomla are you using?
What are the plugin settings?
I did get it to work -- I should have said something.
I had changed my Joomla directory, so the importer could not find the photos. I temporarily changed it to its old location, did the import and moved it back.
Thanks.

@clickbridge, as I saw with you in MP, you have to fill in the URL field with your Joomla home page URL.
