   Weird problem here!

   http://www.affiliatesneeded.com/blog/

   Instead of the home page appearing, it redirects to an article I posted from the dashboard a few days ago.

   What I've done so far ...

   1. Reinstalled WP 3.1
   2. Changed templates
   3. Temporarily removed the article that jumps in but then I get a 404 error page, so I have reactivated it so the site remains accessible.

   Any suggestions welcomed! I may be a novice at WordPress and PHP code, but I have a good understanding of HTML. Show me what to edit or reinstall.

   What's in your .htaccess?

   Can you set your permalinks to default (ugly) and test if it works then?

   First up I'd suggest switching to one of the default themes, that way you can see if it's an error with your theme. If that fails, try deactivating your plugins one by one to see if one of them (could be a recent update) is causing the problem.

   Also check the settings in your 'Settings -> Reading' area to ensure they are correct, and make sure that you haven't renamed or deleted index.php by mistake (although I think WP would fail to work if you had, so unlikely).

   This problem continues. I've got a few hours invested in trying to resolve this. I am now leaning towards a corruption in the database, but I don't have a clue where to look or what to reset.

   I've rechecked anything external that would cause a redirect and everything appears normal.

   Again, deleting that post causes the 404 page to appear.

   How do I get back to the default home page?
