[resolved] Can't get this plugin to work (4 posts)

    I was hoping I could get some assistance on getting this plugin to work. I've been trying for hours without any luck (and no, I don't want to use the Javascript library).

    I have the plugin activated in the admin section of my site.

    Here is the functions.php snippet:

    function intranet_theme_styles() {
       wp_enqueue_style('bootstrap', get_template_directory_uri() . '/css/bootstrap.min.css');
       wp_enqueue_style('bootstrap.responsive', get_template_directory_uri() . '/css/bootstrap-responsive.min.css');
       wp_enqueue_style('intranet', get_template_directory_uri() . '/css/intranet.less');
    }

    add_action('wp_enqueue_scripts', 'intranet_theme_styles');

    The file is never compiled. I always end up with a 404:

    "NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://10.z.y.x/wp-content/uploads/wp-less/intranet/css/intranet-6be3345c6f.css"

    I have 777 permissions on all folders from /uploads/wp-less/intranet/css.

    Does anyone have any ideas for what I'm doing wrong?

    The JavaScript library is nice only for prototyping stuff quickly within the browser. It's definitively a bad idea in term of performance for the client-side.

    Is your 10.z.y.x the hostname of your blog install?

    The error is straightforward: the compiled CSS does not exist.
    If you go in the wp-content/uploads/wp-less/intranet/css/ folder of your server, do you find something?

    Do your LESS file rely on mixins located in Twitter Bootstrap library?

    oncletom,

    Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I just upgraded my site to 3.5 and now the plugin is working! I'm not sure what changed, but, that file was never getting created before. I would always get a 404 because the file never existed.

    I'll still provide a little more info in case someone else comes across this in the future. The hostname of the install is just an IP address; I just filled in some fake letters. I will eventually use a domain, but, for now I was just using an IP address while I develop.

    Also, the media manager was working fine. I uploaded a file and it was created. I created the full directory path and the directory had 777 permissions just to be sure I wasn't hitting a permissions issue.

    I'm not sure what would have changed my experience, but, I'm glad it's working now.

    Ok stange. Maybe it was an issue combining both IP host and WP 2.4. Weird.

    Nice to know your problem is now solved… and to know it works well on 2.5 ;-)
