• Some background: I’ve been using WordPress (both .com & .org) for only 2 months so I am somewhat of a WordPress novice but do have lots of programming experience in general. I created a wordpress.com site using the Freshy theme, http://callahansautowoburn.wordpress.com then I tried to transfer this over to a WordPress.org site, keeping the Freshy theme which I like. (I downloaded the Freshy theme from the web and then installed it in the .org site.) In the .com version there is a submenu capability in the top navigation menu (see the About menu) but in the .org version I can’t get the submenu working (never appears). I’ve spent 2 days searching for information on how to add a submenu to the Freshy theme and have played around with various hacks (including this one: http://www.svennerberg.com/2009/02/creating-a-submenu-in-wordpress/) but am still stumped. The .org site I’m working on is http://clearpointweb.com/callahansauto . Right now I have a few top menus in there because I’m trying to hack around and get it working. I also noticed that in the .com site it lets me create a custom menu and select that menu as the primary. In the .org site is says there is no custom menu capability (don’t understand why the two are different). I would really appreciate any help people can give me in this regard as I have already spent many, many hours trying to figure it out. Thanks so much!! 🙂 ~Corinne
