    Hi There,

For whatever reason, the Page part of my site isn't being pulled in correctly for the sidebar...

This is how the page should look

This is the page that is not working correctly... for some reason, the <div id="page"> doesn't contain the sidebar like the other, which is what is causing the issue... anyone know how I can fix this??? been staring at it for hours and going nowhere!

From quick glance it looks like you tried to comment something out and forgot to finish it?

I'm seeing "<!--" show up right below the body and right above the footer

    It's a DIV issue.

What would probably be the easiest fix is to copy the template on your first page, paste it into the template for your second page (that will help ensure you have the correct DIV usages, and plop in the Archive code you need.

yeah, thanks for taking a look... I think I tried that, but will give it a go and see what happens.

That's what I was afraid of, as it's somewhere probably within the contents-page.php or contents.php files that are causing it.

EDIT: Ah, seemed to have worked... Still don't know what I did differently that caused it to break earlier, but thanks a lot for steering me in the right direction!!!

    Have a great night.

Is there anything holding you back from copying the other page template and just adding in the code for an archive page?

I'd say copy that template over (changing the template name and file name, of course) and then delete the content and add this for archive:

[code moderated per forum rules - please use the pastebin for any code over 10 lines long]

Yeah that's kind of what I did... sorry, I think I might have edited that post while you were trying to help me out :)

Greatly appreciate it though.. will look in to it a bit more in depth tomorrow to see what's up.

I didn't get into any source files.

For the first part I went to http://validator.w3.org/ and put in your site address.

The other part is standard WP coding.

I just went to your website, it looks like you have it working now. The sidebar and everything is working for me when I visit your site now.

BTW: you still have some unused code popping up (probably) in your footer. It's the <!-- section.

Hmm... thanks for checking that out. I am not sure where that unused bit of code is being used... what browser are you on? I'm not seeing it in chrome or firefox.

Anywho, thanks again for helping me out... probably wouldn't have re-approached that method with out your help.
