So far haven't been successful in getting this to work. It seems that I can't get the system to be satisfied with settings in the settings page. This message is constantly displayed:
"The plugin Scissors and Watermark need to be set. Please visit the Settings page | Hide Notice."

sorry - I hadn't supplied a watermark image. Upon doing that it advanced.
Ok. A newbie question:
Now I have the plugin installed and activaved… how do I 'apply' it to a page?
