can’t get Pages updated

I’ve looked through the forums and probably I’m just wording it badly, I’m sorry if this has been addressed, I don’t want to be “that person”.

I’m running WP 2.0 with the Dixie Belle theme and I began a Page. Now I’m trying to add more information to that page. I wanted to put a linked image, so I switched to html view and put it there, but when I pressed “update” I got nothing. When I tried to do it from the WYSIWYG portion, each time I clicked either “save” or “save and continue editing” I got the message: “Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page, all changes will be lost?” Meaning there is no way to save the updated Page. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
