can't get into backend - possibly a plugin? (4 posts)

    Hi everyone,

I can't get into the backend of my site. I could tell you exactly what version of wordpress I'm running but I can't get in to see it. I'm also running buddypress, I updated it 2 days ago, and courseware.

I was installing some plugins and it just kicked me out. I've tried getting into it through Filezilla but for some reason that's not connecting to an IP address.

I love playing around with the backend but I'm not a techie and don't write code.

I'm pretty sure I need to disable the plugins I was installing before it kicked me out but I can't get anywhere near the back of it. Is there another way in?

Thank you so much for any response.

    rebecca

Go in via FTP, to your /wp-content/plugins folder.

    Delete the new plugins.

Hiya, thanks for your reply, I'm having problems logging into the FTP with Filezilla but it's not letting me connect, I think I mentioned this.

Am wondering if there is another way to delete recent plugins.

I have a backup but can't get into the back end to load it up.

    Thanks for any help!

There's no other way to deactivate the plugins. If you're having problems with FTP, try contacting your hosts.
