Can't get Google Maps API Key to work (1 post)

    Hello,

I am fairly new to WordPress, and I was trying to get the search for a Zip Code to work on my website. It told me I needed an API Key for the function to work, so I registered and generated an API Key with my developer account. When I input the API Key into the field, the map on my homepage no longer worked. This message in a dialogue box popped:

"Google has disabled use of the Maps API for this application. The provided key is not a valid Google API Key, or it is not authorized for the Google Maps Javascript API v3 on this site. If you are the owner of this application, you can learn about obtaining a valid key here:
    https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial#api_key "

I've followed the link and all the directions, but this message still pops up. Is there something I am missing by any chance? I've input the browser name, I've generated the key–I'm just confused at this point to why it is not working.

    Thank you in advance.
