Can't get featured image to work on pages

    I am having a problem getting the ‘set featured image’ to work on my site. The site I’m working on ishere. I have installed the Lucid theme and was told by elegant themes that the ‘set featured image’ does work with this theme. The problem is is that when I set the featured image and update the page, nothing shows up. I am using the fullwidth page template and I even tried it on the default page template, but nothing. I’m really not sure what I’m doing wrong. I have deactivated and uninstalled the plugins that I’m using one by one to see if any of those could be causing the problem, but even with no plugins, the featured image is not working. I reached out to the elegant themes support forums and they told me to install the latest version of the Lucid theme (which I did), but the featured image still isn’t working. I’m running out of trouble shooting options and was wondering if anyone else was possibly using this particular theme and having any luck with the set featured image. Thanks for the help in advance!

    That’s definitely theme issue and their support should be able to help you. If I remember correctly, Elegant Themes have epanel for theme settings. I believe there might a setting for featured images. Check there, I think it’s under Appearance menu.

    Hmm another possibility. Did you upload image before or after theme activation? If you uploaded image before activating this theme, you might not have the correct image size for featured image to work. Try re-uploading the image again, and setting it as featured.

    Note, featured image support has to be built into the theme to work/show correctly.

    Hey thanks so much! I really appreciate the quick response. The images were loaded before I installed the theme, so I will definitely upload them again. Hey, really, thank you!! You’ve given me some really great options for troubleshooting this more. I’ll let you know how it turns out!!

    It totally worked. There was a button to enable the images in the epanel, I didn’t realize it automatically disabled it when I installed it. So, thanks again!!

    Hello
    I’ve lost the “Set Featured Image” function in Add Media function.
    It does not show in the selection options.
    It still shows on the post page, and when I click “Set featured image, the Set featured image opens up, with the image library showing images, and allows me to select a featured image, but it will not post it.
    One thing I notice to be unusual besides the missing command is a blank image that may not have finished down loading. I can’t seem to eliminate the blank image.
    Any ideas? I’d be thrilled to hear them. Best Regards, BH

    Bore Head, I’m not sure what your issue could be, which theme are you using? I was using an elegant theme and they have an epanel, usually under Appearance –> (then whatever the theme is) mine was Lucid Theme Options. From there I went to Layout Settings. Also, and this might be stupid to say, but do you have the set featured image enabled on your screen options on your dashboard? Wish I could be more help!!
