Can't get boarders on html tables

    Hi,

    I’m want to put some tables on my blog to present some data. I created the table in excel, pasted it into the ‘visual’ tab of the wordpress editor and then edited the html under the ‘text’ tab to make a boarder and align the text center. When I preview the post the table has no formatting.

    Is there an overriding default for no boarders on the theme?
