Can’t get any gallery plug-in to work

    I can’t seem to get any plug-in such as shadowbox, nextgal, lightbox to function on the site. I have attempted various plug-ins to see if something was just quirky with one particular plug-in but no such luck.

    I’ve added a demo image onto the most recent post along with the gallery that should function as well. http://www.cleverminx.com – most recent post.

    Any help is greatly appreciated, I’m normally really web savvy, but this is stumping me!

    I bet this is related to my issue. Code details are in that topic, but the short story is that if your theme filters post_gallery (and many of them do), the theme’s gallery code never gets the “link” variable. I’m pretty sure this is a bug in gallery_shortcode (line 677) in media.php.

    So if your theme defaults to linking gallery images to the attachment page, gallery images won’t link to image files even if you can check “file” or manually write in [gallery link="file"]. And the various lightbox plugins all need image file links to get their work done.

    So your options are to either fix line 677 in media.php and hope that WP.org does too in the next release, or look for your theme’s post_gallery filter and change it to default to link=file.

    So changing the php on the media file should enable lightbox and other such plugins to work as well?
