• I got the newest version of WordPress and loaded everything up onto my site using Filezilla…The 5 min install page pops up and I put in the title and email….click on the “Install WordPress” button and the page can’t be found.

Below the “Install WordPress” button is this message:

WordPress database error Table ‘kepi.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query INSERT INTO wp_options (option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES (‘cron’, ‘a:2:{i:1227120044;a:1:{s:17:\”wp_update_plugins\”;a:1:{s:32:\”40cd750bba9870f18aada2478b24840a\”;a:3:{s:8:\”schedule\”;s:10:\”twicedaily\”;s:4:\”args\”;a:0:{}s:8:\”interval\”;i:43200;}}}s:7:\”version\”;i:2;}’, ‘yes’) made by add_option WordPress database error Table ‘kepi.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query INSERT INTO wp_options (option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES (‘random_seed’, ‘043ab9f2e5362c44dc1d16d8861e4df3’, ‘yes’) made by add_option WordPress database error Table ‘kepi.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query INSERT INTO wp_options (option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES (‘auth_salt’, ‘2$76cdFYeokn’, ‘yes’) made by add_option

I really have no clue what to do at this point.
I did overwrite an older version of wordpress and hope that didn’t mess everything up, but at this point I just have to fix the problem at hand.
    Thanks for any help

  • Have you tried doing a fresh installation in another directory and another database? Hoping this one didn’t mess up the one you had in place already, but if you don’t need anything from the old install, you might try removing it first.

    Best wishes!

I tried deleting all the files in the database and did a fresh load of wordpress…but the same message keeps coming up…I don’t know what to do.
The page still can’t be displayed when I click the “Install WordPress” button. Here is the title of the page if it helps: http://www…./install.php?step=2

    That can’t be seen

Try searching for minute install wp_options in these forums — it looks like this could be caused by several things. You might also look to see if there’s anything more to your error toward the end. Good luck

    windows server?

indeed it is a windows server, should that be a problem?

    if it’s at godaddy – it’s impossible
other places you just have to jump through hoops.

linux is easier, faster and way more reliable
