• As far as I know, I logged on correctly via Filezilla, using info from Dreamhost.

I do NOT see wp-content/plugins anywhere. I see three folders: halphillips.org, logs, and Maildir. They include sub-folders as well, but still no wp-content.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • Probably everything…
WHERE is your WP installation out of those folders? It should be in the domain folder.

What moshu said, should be in halphillips.org folder based on structure of server per your post above and instead looks like virtual subdomain blog

When I installed WordPress, I screwed up somehow (I’m a newbie, please don’t hate me), and I installed it to the barbelith.halphillips.org folder instead of just the halphillips.org domain. I don’t know of a way to fix that, and have settled for a domain redirect.

As it stands now, when I log on to Dreamhost’s FTP server, the halphillips.org directory is empty.

So where would I find my WP installation? Help!

You just said it: you installed it in the barbelith subfolder under the halphillips.org folder.

How do I find that, though? When I log in on Filezilla with Dreamhost’s FTP server and my Dreamhost username and password, the halphillips.org folder appears empty.

Then I don’t know… Domain redirecting always confuses WP (and me).

You will have to figure out how the subdoamins work on your host:
