I’ve just migrated my site from wordpress.com to wordpress.org (and also redirected it to a new host, name.com).

I followed these steps to migrate my data from my previous blog on wordpress.com to wordpress.org

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

I export my data, downloaded it on my computer.

Then I imported it on the new website. I think the import was successful but can’t be sure as I don’t see my old content yet.

The article doesn’t mention any further step after important.

How to get my content to be visible?

  • Did you check if you have the posts and pages through dashboard.

    Yep. Nothing there!!

It seems like I haven’t actually installed the files after I imported them.

Any idea how I can do that?

    Thanks Govpatel.

Actually, my hosting company helped me solve it!!

I do think it was a problem with installation and FTP something.

    Thanks anyways.

Glad to know you have your problem sorted out.
