First of all, how do I find out what version of WordPress I'm using?
Secondly, how can I find the Plugins menu on my dashboard?
Oh, and I am administrator, by the way.

Log into the administration area and your version number will be indicated at the bottom right of the screen on the very first page that loads.
Your plugins menu is in the left-hand menu. You should see the word Plugins, and/ or an icon of a plug, depending how your menu is set to display.
