Over at my website, http://www.bashingapple.com, feedburner is unable to find my feed. When I attempt to burn it I get this message:

The URL does not appear to reference a valid XML file. We encountered the following problem: Unknown feed format encountered (The root element is [Element: <html [Namespace: http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml/>)

I even did the feed validator here:

    http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2FBashingApple.com%2F
And it still wont find it. What should I do?

There is something basically wrong with the directory setup. No matter what url you submit, like http://bashingapple.com/nopage/, it returns to your home page. The one above should result in a 404. That is why /feed does not work - it is going back to the home page.

  3. Someone else reported the identical problem earlier and they were also being hosted by GoDaddy.

I had the same issue this week on Network Solutions and here is my solution - if it doesn't work, I suggest contacting GoDaddy.
