My profile simply does not give my API. Not sure why. The blog has been in existence for quite some time now and is functioning fine. The blog was already setup when I came to work here, so I don't have the API that was originally emailed out. It seems the only way to get the API is to check the profile page while logge in. The only sections in the profile are:
Personal Options
Name
Contact Info
About Yourself
None of the above contain the API. What am I missing? Thanks.
The API keys are found only on sites at wordpress.COM
If you have a self-hosted site, that is not on wordpress.com and thus does not show you an API key.
To use Akismet it is necessary to register for an account at wordpress.com and get an API key even if you don't want a wordpress.com blog.
