I am sure you found this already:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Getting_Started_with_WordPress#Installation
so I just post it here for future reference.

As it is described in all the instructions, the install file should be at
http: //trekkyrecords.com/wp-admin/install.php - provided you installed the WP files in the root. If they are in a subdirectory, add that to the address.

Hey, for some reason that hasn't been working. Any other suggestions.

"Not working" is a very vague definition. You may want to say: it goes to a 404 error.
Which means you did NOT installed the WP files where you said you did.

Are you sure in the 19 minutes between my post and your reply you were able to read thoroughly that resource I've provided???

I've read throught the entire file several times. I have done every step up through number five in the detailed instructions file. My problem is simply locating the files through my browser.

I can't recall #5. My simpy question is: where did you upload the WP files?
    To your root? (Obviously not)
In a subdirectory? What's its name?

The subdirectory is called "wordpress." I changed the adress you showed me appropriately, and it still has problems.

"still has problems" - it is again a not very smart way to describe what you see!!! [didn't you read my first reply?]

It works. You just entered wrong info in your wp-config.php file.

And I believe you meant "not a very smart way."

He helped you so you should really say thank you. Now go and enter the details correctly in your config file and it will work.

Fair enough. Thanks, I do appreciate it. I've already been at work for 9 hours, and I have the flu, but that's really no excuse.
