Hi all, I am using a wordpress blog set up by a client and just spent 2.5 hours trying to figure out how, having written, reviewed and published a post, to view the actual blog. My client can view it but I can't see how from the dashboard and am feeling like a complete idiot. I really woul dprefer not to ask my client to have to explain it to me. TIA

You can click on the blog name at the top of the dashboard to see it. You can also open another tab in the browser, go to the URL to see it.

If you are in the WP admin area and can get to the page where you edited the post, there will be a link to "View Post" near the top. Click that and it will take you to the front end of the site and display the post for you.

John thanks but that is my point...I can view the post but it has the comment form underneath. In blogger there is a "view post" and "view blog" option. I don't see anythign that will take me to the blog in the WordPress dash. (The blog is part of a WordPress website.)

...and kmessinger, thanks for your response but it is a WordPress website and clicking on the name just takes me to the home page.

If it is WordPress.com support is here, http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ and here http://en.forums.wordpress.com/

Sorry many blogs, the home page is the blog so that normally works. Just keep an extra tab open in the browser and switch back and forth.

Thanks kmessinger. I don't get it at all. It's utterly frustrating and the definition of idiocy is repeating the same thing over and over hoping to get a different result :) I will try to contact support.
