Can someone run through the steps to make ads display in the middle column of the semio 3 column theme? I tried the only thing I could think of, copy adsense code into the sidebar ad space, that did not work.
The instructions for using ad space seems a little vague to me, can't figure this out.

1. create an ad block. when defining its valid locations, check 'sidebar'.
2. create an ad distribution. assign your new ad block to the sidebar area.
3. make this ad distribution the default one for the home page and for archives.
