   I'm trying to embed a youtube video using the little icon for video upload but it won't work, all I get is a link to the video?

   I'm an admin and I've tested this on two different installs and servers, what is wrong here? I'm stuck.

   can't someone help me out here? I'm still stuck on this on multiple blogs... I must be doing something basic wrong... TIA

   Are you trying to embed in a page or post? I've embeded YT videos on pages by copying/ pasting the YT video's URL (not the embed code) in the page editor's HTML area (not in display mode/view).

   Not sure if it works on posts that way because I've never tried...

   go to author and turn off visual editor upload your video and then turn video editor back on

   I'm not trying to upload a video, I'm simply trying to add a youtube video using the little add video icon.. I select 'by url' enter the youtube url... and all I get in the post is a link to the video??
