I am logged in as the admin on my site but for some reason whenever I try to delete a post it stays there and this message appears:
You don't have permission to do that.
I am the only user. I found a post about a similar issue from seven months back but it seemed to have been resolved.
If it's any help, WP is installed at mydomain.com/wordpress/ and I have configured the blog to be at mydomain.com.

how is it that you have the blog in a subdirectory, and yet you have it configured differently?
That wont work.

One of us isnt understanding. I know that you can install wordpress into a subdirectory. I'm asking how you think you can have it configured to NOT be in a subdirectory..
Your blog is at http://www.domain.com/wordpress
Your 2 URI settings need to reflect that. THATS the configuration I am asking about.
and are we talking about THIS domain, since I dont see any wp install here:
http://greatisland.ca/wordpress
or this domain:
http://fundyfilm.ca/wordpress/
or ...
per your first post.
for what its worth, I searched, and found quite a few posts that you might want to read:

nope, not that domain.
I'm dealing with fundyfilm.ca.
the index of the blog is at fundyfilm.ca/index.php, but the wordpress install is in fundyfilm.ca/wordpress.
am i making sense?
yes, now what you need to realize is this:
http://fundyfilm.ca/wordpress/
Click that link.

try the tune-up plugin, see if that helps. I dont know why youre doing things the way you are, and whether or not thats aggravating things, and frankly that fundy site is too complicated for me to look at crap on.
Good luck :)
